Revolutionary COR-Eye Technology provides four times the amount of face flexing for consistently faster ball speeds across the hotter face. A gain in ball speed and shot height generates more carry distance and a steeper landing angle. A specialized heat treatment creates Hyper 17-4 stainless steel, allowing for thinner, faster faces to gain distance.

Ping G Irons Information
Ping G Irons Technology
PING offers a variety of shaft flexes
in steel and graphite to meet your needs and preferences. Selecting the proper shaft flex for your swing will help you get the most distance and accuracy from every shot. Generally, players with faster swing speeds require stiffer shafts to keep the ball trajectory lower, while players with slower swing speeds will require more-flexible shafts to produce a higher ball trajectory.
The choice of Steel or Graphite
he choice of steel or graphite shafts is usually based on preferences for weight and/or feel. Players seeking a lighter overall weight and/or a softer feel in their irons may prefer graphite shafts, while players who prefer a standard-weight club with a firmer feel may prefer steel shafts.

Hybrid technology takes a leap forward, highlighted by the G hybrids' innovative tiered internal sole, which helps activate face flexing to power the ball off the face faster for greater distance. The ultra-thin crown allows for a low-back center of gravity to ensure high launch, reduced spin and a higher MOI for maximizing forgiveness.
Hybrids - Long and Forgiving.
The Ping G hybrid is a good solid club and apart from some of the crown visuals, it is difficult to fault it. It is probably leaning towards the wood end of the hybrid styling scale with its size and shape, so if that is the type of hybrid you want then you won't go wrong. The face also comes with a rough finish on it between the grooves which is there to reduce spin by around 200rpm. There is also a thinner section on the sole of the club just behind the face called the Cascading Sole Design that enables it to flex a little bit more at impact.
Faster ball speeds are generated by an innovative tiered internal sole structure that facilitates flexing of the Carpenter 455 precision-machined face to optimize launch conditions for consistently longer results. By thinning the crown, PING engineers positioned the center of gravity low-back to provide high launch with reduced spin and maximum forgiveness for greater distance. Turbulators on the crown and a contrasting groove pattern simplify aim and alignment, creating a consistently centered impact position.

|PING Driver Distance Flex Chart|
To get the most distance from your driver you must optimize the launch angle and spin rate of the ball by selecting the proper loft and shaft flex for your swing speed. Generally, golfers with slower swing speeds require more-lofted drivers and more-flexible shafts to achieve the proper launch conditions. Conversely, golfers with faster swing speeds generally require lower-lofted drivers and firmer shafts.
