SCOTTY CAMERON Select Newport 2 Notchback DB Putter - Precision Engineering and Playability.

The Scotty Cameron Select Newport 2 Notchback Dual Balance putter features a sole-to-topline 6061 aircraft grade aluminum inlay anodized in gunmetal gray. The lightweight aluminum inlay, bonded to the stainless steel body with vibration dampening material, enhances sound and feel while moving more weight from the stainless steel to the perimeter for improved MOI and stability. Like all Dual Balance models, Newport 2 Notchback DB has a 50-gram heavier head (400 grams total) and a 50-gram counterweight in the butt of the shaft. This configuration helps many players make a proper stroke where the butt of the shaft remains pointed at the midsection. In addition, the 15 inch dual balance grip slows down and stabilizes the butt end of the putter throughout the stroke and is specifically designed for straight-back or straight-through strokes. This angular modern-style blade has distinct, mechanical contours, a flowing single-bend shaft, and a notched flange with a single sight line.

Scotty Cameron Select putters feature sleek, performance-oriented models with new technology, shapes and configurations. The new Select line blends precision milled Scotty Cameron craftsmanship with multi-material technology proven at the highest levels of competition. The new Scotty Cameron Select line of putters is the culmination of Scotty’s Putter Studio research and his desire to make the best putters in the world. Each Select putter is a precision milled, elegantly refined shape with all new stunning bold new graphics, cherry red paint, and soft Silver Mist finish. The deep milled face provides soft feel and sound while the Select weighting system provides modern balance and stability. The Scotty Cameron Select Newport frames the golf ball in a rich, misted metallic sculpture of precision milled stainless steel. It’s leading edge engineering for the art of putting—craftsmanship you demand from instruments essential to a life well lived and a game well played. Purpose-built clean and free from distractions, you’ll find the Newport absent of sight lines or dots. Loaded with legendary Scotty Cameron design, the new heel-and-toe-weighted Newport is sure to inspire confidence in your putting game with rolls marked by decades of Scotty’s masterful putter craftsmanship.

SCOTTY CAMERON SELECT NEWPORT 2 NOTCHBACK DB Putter Features:

Counterbalanced Stability:
Featuring a 50-gram heavier putter head counter-balanced with a 50-gram weight in the grip-end of the shaft to stabilize the putting stroke, this putter comes at a standard length of 38” with a 15” Dual Balance grip to slow down and stabilize the butt end of the putter throughout the stroke.

Dual Balance Model:
This angular, modern blade with distinct, mechanical lines, a notched flange and flowing, single-bend shaft employs a 6061 aircraft grade aluminum face inlay with a single flange sight line for a putter that subtly bridges the gap between blade and mini-mallet, giving players a new look and feel in the Dual Balance configuration.

Multi-Material Technology:
With face inlays or face-sole constructions that are performance-matched to each putter style.

New inlay Technology:
From his years working inside the ropes, Scotty developed a new, performance-tuned face inlay that delivers the soft but solid feel the world's best players are looking for. Fused to the stainless steel body with a vibration-dampening membrane, Scotty introduced a sole-to-topline inlay and extended his interchangeable sole weight technology and racing-inspired graphics for a fine milled putter worthy of the Scotty Cameron name.

Enhanced Alignment:
By design, Scotty’s heel-and-toe-weighted blade with its flowing, tiered pocket presents nothing sharp to get the eye caught on. But, with the enhanced alignment option offered by an all-new Newport feature—a precision milled sight line in the flange—feel gets a mild assist via technology.

Vibration-Dampening System:
Scotty worked for months to fine-tune the vibration-dampening system that fuses the 303 stainless steel performance-matched inlay to the stainless steel mainframe. He dialed it in for a soft but solid feel that is unmatched. The new sole-to-topline inlay not only disappears from view at address, but provides a zero-miss sweet spot location.

Red Dual Balance Matador Midsize Grip:
Provides player preferred softness and comfort without sacrificing feel or feedback.

PUTTERS DO NOT SWING VERTICALLY BACK & THROUGH ALONG THE TARGET LINE

  • Because of lie angle, the proper putting stroke moves along an arcing path: slightly inside of the target line, back to square, then to the inside again after impact.
  • The proper length putter correctly sets eye position just inside the target line, and the correct amount of toe flow allows the putter to flow squarely to the proper arcing path throughout the stroke.
  • The best players in the world keep the face square to the arcing path and the butt of the putter pointed at themidsection throughout the stroke. Selecting the right putter will help your players do the same.

Counter Balanced

Players that struggle to produce a flowing stroke with a conventional length putter should consider Dual Balance.
Scotty Cameron Dual Balance putters feature a +50g heavier head weight, 50g counter weight, and 37" or 38”
standard length.
The larger diameter, 15” long Dual Balance grip is designed to be gripped down to place the shaft weight above the
hands. The combination of the heavier head, shaft weight and larger grip stabilise the stroke by reducing the common
faults of flipping, pushing or dragging with the hands.
